Artist Statement

My artistic practice explores the complex relationship between the human mind, society, nature, and the unseen forces that shape our existence. I am particularly interested in the psychological conflicts that remain beneath the surface of everyday life the tensions between desire and restraint, instinct and civilization, isolation and belonging. The theories of Sigmund Freud, particularly his exploration of the unconscious mind, have influenced my way of thinking. I believe that despite centuries of civilization, traces of our primitive instincts continue to survive within us. These hidden impulses frequently emerge through conflict, fear, desire, violence, vulnerability, and our search for meaning. My paintings transform these psychological conditions into a symbolic visual language. Human figures, hands, flowers, animals, urban structures, and elements drawn from nature appear not merely as recognizable forms, but as metaphors. The densely constructed city often represents contemporary existence: crowded and interconnected, yet psychologically fragmented. Against this environment, organic forms become carriers of hope, resilience, transformation, and spiritual possibility. In recent works, the flower has become particularly significant. A bloom can suggest beauty and regeneration, but it is also fragile and temporary. In works such as The Last Bloom and The Light of the Supreme, I use this tension between fragility and endurance to reflect upon humanity's place within an increasingly complicated world. My paintings do not attempt to provide definite answers. Instead, I want to create a space in which the visible world and the inner world can meet a space where psychological experience, social reality, spirituality, and imagination coexist. For me, painting is ultimately an act of searching: searching beneath appearances, searching within consciousness, and searching for a possibility of compassion and harmony amid the conflicts of contemporary life.
