Artist Statement

Multicoloured flowers and blossoms have always inspired my life and my paintings. My studio in Wai is surrounded by fresh blooms, with a garden filled with sunflowers, hollyhocks, lilies, lotuses, marigolds, jasmine, cosmos and an abundance of wildflowers. Flowers bloom in silence, and so does my art in the quiet of the studio.

Working primarily in oils, I use strong, expressive strokes of the brush and palette knife to capture the energy and rapture of flowers on canvas. I believe flowers carry the energy of the universe, accompanying us through every stage of life. Their changing moods are a constant source of joy and inspiration.

Each canvas is a fresh experience through which my emotions are expressed and embellished with flowers. Painting them is my art of living, and I will continue to share this sense of bliss for as long as they inspire me.
